Concrete Grinding
To create a smooth and level surface, we started with concrete grinding. This step removed any minor imperfections and prepared the countertop for the polishing process. Grinding is essential for refining the concrete countertop, allowing us to create a seamless, even base that enhances the final polished look.
Application of Densifier
After grinding, we applied a concrete densifier. This step strengthens the concrete by filling its pores, making it denser and more resilient to wear. The densifier enhances the countertop’s durability, contributing to its lasting strength and polished finish.
Concrete Polishing
Once the densifier had set, we polished the countertop to achieve a smooth and glossy finish. We used multiple grits of polishing pads to progressively refine the surface, resulting in a polished concrete kitchen worktop that’s both functional and stylish.
Sealing for Long-Lasting Protection
To protect the countertop from moisture, stains, and daily wear, we applied a high-quality concrete sealer. This final step preserves the countertop’s polished look, prevents damage, and makes maintenance easier. The sealing process ensures the countertop remains resistant to spills and retains its aesthetic appeal over time.
