Surface Preparation
The process began with grinding the existing concrete to remove surface imperfections, stains, and previous coatings. This step smoothed out the cement for a clean slate before moving on to finer refinishing.
Concrete Grinding
Using heavy-duty equipment, our technicians who are polished concrete professionals ground the surface, gradually moving to finer grits to achieve a more uniform and smooth appearance. This stage helped level the surface and remove deeper imperfections.
Honing the Concrete
After grinding, we honed the concrete using finer abrasives. This process further refined the surface, giving it a smoother texture and preparing it for the polishing stages.
Applying a Densifier
Before polishing, we applied a concrete densifier to harden the surface and improve its durability. This step ensures that the concrete will resist wear and maintain its polished look for a longer period.
Polishing the Concrete
We then polished the floor with progressively finer diamond pads, creating the sleek, glossy finish seen in the after photos. The polished concrete floor not only looks stunning but is also highly durable, resistant to wear, and easy to clean.
